Accidents involving public transit vehicles such as Buses and Streetcars are very common in our province due to the harsh weather in winter. Such losses turn out to  very serious injuries. There could be multiple claimants (plaintiffs) at once as it is much easier to get severely injured in a public transport compared to the automobile accident.

If the injuries occurred in the public transport due to the collision with an automobile, Depending on the liability, the claim can be made against the Insurer of the public transport and a third party claim (Tort) against the at fault driver (commonly the Insurance).

If there is a collision that has been caused due to the negligence of the transport driver but there is no other vehicle involved, the injured person will be entitled to the third party claim only (Tort).
